This song is based on a story that Del James wrote, called Without You. The original song was about 25 minutes long. Later the song was revised and is now only 8 minutes and 59 seconds. Slash has a 2 minute guitar solo in this song as well.

"November Rain" describes a drugged up, drunk musician who is reminiscing about his relationship. The song is seen through his former girlfriend's eyes, though. The lyrics are a former girlfriend saying how troubled times (November rains) won't last forever and that when he comes back she will still be there waiting for him.

I chose this song because I really like listening to songs with deep meanings. The lyrics of this song send out a strong message about relationships and tough times, and not only that, but I really love Guns N' Roses.
